Hi, I'm Nienke.

Before becoming an illustrator I got my master's degree in Communication Science and worked as a marketing professional for more than 10 years. But after a decade of working in the design field, it was itching to start creating for myself again.

Now I get to have the best job in the world! Drawing, painting, reviewing art supplies and sharing all that creative knowledge in workshops, online and in collaboration with brands.

I always have a sketchbook in my bag, so I can draw anywhere. I love drawing the diversity of people and the world we live in. Helping other people to get over their perfectionism and start enjoying creativity again.

Some random facts about me? I love to color coordinate everything, I'm a big book nerd and work from a 16th century old studio.​
